Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County Committee Member

Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County is looking for interested young professionals, community leaders, and future community leaders to serve on our committees. If your passion to help hardworking families in need have safe, decent, affordable homes aligns with any of the following interests, please let us know! All committees meet monthly. Members are expected to attend meetings, assist with needs of the represented departments, and be an advocate for Habitat in the community. Construction – Our construction committee helps plan and execute the construction schedule. All are welcome; individuals with construction and contractor backgrounds, engineers and architects/architectural designers are highly encouraged. Site Selection – Our site selection committee reviews and selects construction locations. All are welcome; engineers and architects/architectural designers are highly encouraged. Development – Help plan Habitat’s fundraising efforts. From planning special events to developing fundraising strategies, the development committee is the fundraising powerhouse of Habitat. Community Outreach/Volunteer Committee — Like to talk to people? Help our Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinators make connections to local faith groups, veteran and fraternal organizations, and businesses. Family Support – Help our Partner Families navigate the homeownership process. Provide moral support and guidance from acceptance as a Partner Family all the way through key delivery.

Special Requirements: Volunteers should be between the ages of 18 and 100.
